One Friday Skate Ministry was started by Robert Bataev and Boris Schaber - 2 friends who decided they wanna make a difference in the skateboard world and tell skaters about Jesus. From small beginnings in ´98 when they were a team of 2 this ministry grew into a solid group of like minded missionaries.
We believe skating can be used as a powerful tool to bring about positive change.
One Friday is based on the Sunshine Coast in QLD Australia, but has people affiliated all over Australia and Internationally. One Friday Skate Ministry is non denominational and all members are involved in their local churches. One Friday is a registered not for profit association and is partnered with YWAM Sunshine Coast. Through this partnership there is a clear line of accountability set in place. Yearly audits are undertaken by a secular accounting firm. Everybody in One Friday Skate Ministry is a full time volunteer and all donations go straight into ministry.
